The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released an updated list of members of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council ahead of its inauguration scheduled for today (Wednesday) in Abuja.
The inauguration ceremony takes place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, with only the leadership of the various directorates of the council expected to attend.
The party announced the development in a press statement issued on Tuesday, by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the updated list reflects the membership of the presidential campaign council, which is expected to coordinate the APC’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general election.
The inauguration marks a step in the party’s preparations for the re-election campaign of President Tinubu, who is seeking another term in office under the APC platform.
The council is expected to provide the organisational structure for coordinating campaign activities, mobilising party supporters and communicating the administration’s policies and programmes to Nigerians as the 2027 election approaches.
However, the APC did not provide further details in the statement on the specific responsibilities of individual members or the composition of the various directorates.
The party also clarified that attendance at Wednesday’s inauguration would be restricted to the leadership of the council’s directorates, indicating that the ceremony would not involve the full membership listed in the updated document.
The 2027 general election is expected to be a major political test for the ruling party as it seeks to retain the presidency and consolidate its position across the country.
