A pro-Tinubu campaign group ‘Movement For Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PM4BAT)’ has been inaugurated in Abuja to ensure victory for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group during the inauguration, affirmed its support for Tinubu stating that he is Nigeria’s best candidate to change the narrative.
Deliverin a speech at the inauguration on Sunday, the Deputy Director General of the group, Comrade Olatunde Awoyemi said the group will make use of its structure spread across the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT to mobilise eligible voters from all nooks and crannies to ensure that Tinubu clinches the presidency seat in 2023.
He said, “The Progressive Movement for Bola Ahmed Tinubu hereby upholds the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate and pledges its unreserved support to walk all the nooks and crannies of this country and mobilise all the eligible voters wherever they may be to vote and elect the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to win the Feb 13th, 2023, Presidential election and to lead this country to a greater height.
“We are using this medium to call on all Nigerians to rise and give their support and vote for the candidacy of the APC to enable him change the narration and the system of governance in the country which is evident in Lagos State.”
On Tinubu’s choice of a Muslim as running mate, Comrade Awoyemi said what makes Tinubu an influential politician is his ability to win an election, stressing that issues relating to religion are meant for religious clerics who are saddled with such responsibilities to handle.
He explained that Nigeria needs competent leaders with proven track records who would transform the country regardless of religious combination, hence Mr Shetima was chosen.
Reacting to questions on age, he explained that some of the presidents across nations of the world are older than Tinubu yet perform excellently. He therefore added that the APC presidential candidate is hale and hearty and has the capability to lead Nigeria.
