Nigeria Wooed to Bid for Hosting 4th Edition of Intra-African Trade Fair

Nigeria has been invited by Afreximbank, African Union and the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement Secretariat to submit a bid to host the 4th Edition of Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025).

The fair would comprise the following key components; Trade Exhibition, Trade and Investment Forum, Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX), A B2B and B2G Platform, Country Days, IATF Virtual, Africa Auto Show, and AU Youth Start-Up Program.

This IATF2025 edition is expected to bring together continental and global players to showcase and exhibit their goods and services, and to explore business and investment opportunities in the continent.

With the steady growth and improvement experienced in the last two fairs the IATF2025 will bring even bigger results and benefits to the economies of Nigeria and the entire African continent.

IATF 2025 has the potential to attract up to 2,000 exhibitors, 40,000 visitors and conference delegates and more than $50 billion in trade and investment deals.

The Inaugural IATF 2018, held in Cairo, Egypt from 11th to 17th December, 2018 attracted more than 1000 exhibitors, more than 7000 visitors and conference delegates from 45 countries and more than $32 billion dollars in trade and investment deals were signed at the trade fair.

The second edition (IATF2021) was held 15-21 November 2021 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa and was also a resounding success despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. It attracted more than 1500 exhibitors, 32,541 visitors and conference delegates from 128 countries, and more than $42 billion dollars in trade and investment deals were signed at the trade fair.

The third edition (IATF2023) will hold in Abidian, Cote d’Ivoire from 21st to 27th November, 2023 under the theme “Connecting African”Markets”.

IATF2023 is expected to attract more than 1,600 exhibitors, more than 35,000 visitors and conference delegates and more than $43 billion in trade and investment deals are expected to be closed during the trade fair.
