In a display of unity and reverence, the Minister of State, Rt. Muhammad Bello Goronyo Esq., and Governor Ahmad Aliyu, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, together with Deputy Governor Engr. Idris Muhammad Gobir as well as Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and Sarkin Yamman Sakkwato, paid a traditional Sallah homage to His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar, on Wednesday as parts of the festivities.
The traditional Sallah homage which took place at the Sultan’s Palace in Sokoto, epitomized the deep respect for the Caliphate and the solidarity shared among the esteemed leaders of Sokoto State.
A statement by Director of Information and Public Relations in the ministry, Mrs. Funmi Imuetinyan on Thursday in Abuja said the visit underscored the importance of tradition, unity, and collective aspirations in fostering development and harmony within the state.
According to the statement, during the visit, discussions centered on matters of mutual interest, including initiatives aimed at promoting the tradition, the socio-economic growth, peace, and prosperity for all citizens of Sokoto State.
The Sultan of Sokoto, graciously received the delegation, emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts in advancing the welfare of the people.
Goronyo, Governor Ahmad Aliyu, Deputy Governor Engr. Idris Muhammad Gobir, and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Sarkin Yamman Sakkwato expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to them by His Eminence and reaffirmed their commitment to working tirelessly towards the advancement and well-being of Sokoto State and its people.
