JAMB rakes in N247.1m in 7 days

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it recorded N247,157,332 as financial inflow between May 18 and May 24, 2024.

The exam body made this known in its weekly bulletin, which was obtained by The AUTHORITY on Monday in Abuja.

Giving a breakdown of the financial inflow, JAMB said it received N148.8 million from e-facilities sales, while N36.3 million was gotten from consultancy services.

According to the board headed by Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, N1.6 million was generated from PRC services, while the initial sale of 2024 epin to an agency fetched N60.3 million.

JAMB, however, said it recorded expenses totaling N59,278,927 million in the same period.

It listed the financial outflow to include staff claims – N4. 1 million, payment to computer-based test centres – N2. 1 million, supervision of third-party examination – N10. 5 million, payment of taxes to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) – N41.8 million, state tax offices – N500, 927 and Remita charges – N18, 757.
