The House of Representatives Committee on Digital and Information Communication Technology has scheduled a stakeholders meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2024 as part of activies of developing a national digital economy.
The stakeholders meeting which will witness the active participation of the media will focus on the national digital economy and e-governance bill currently before the National Assembly.
According to the Chairman, House Committee on Digital and Communication Technology, Adedeji Olajide, the stakeholders engagement “Is in line with the commitment of the National Assembly to an inclusive process of lawmaking,” stressing that the event “Will be the first of a series of engagements by the leadership of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrimes and the House Committee on Digital and Information Communication Technology in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy.”
The state holders meeting is also towards promoting the a bill on the use of technology to enhance public service delivery, improve transparency and accountability, and drive economic growth.
