Ogun LGA elections: Prince Abraham applauds Gov Abiodun’s strive as supporters urge APC to give him ticket

As Ogun State prepares for the local government elections come November, 2024, Prince Gbenga Abraham has commended the giant development strives of Governor Dapo Abiodun in bringing democracy dividends to the state even as his people urged the leadership of the All Progressive Party APC to give him the ticket to contest for the Yewa South Local Government of the state in the forthcoming elections.

During an interactive session with a large gathering of supporters at Empire Hall in Ilaro, Yewa South on Thursday, Prince Ekunola Gbenga Abraham commended Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration for fostering democracy in Ogun State.

The philanthropist and advocate of grassroots development who has been putting smiles on the faces of the less-previleged through his foundation, Pega Foundation, thanked the APC party leadership, supporters, friends, family, colleagues, and various stakeholders for their support for him to represent the party for the council elections.

It was gathered that the meeting was called by the Pega Foundation founder to douse tension already generating by his teeming supporters over his acceptance by the party and the two zones in local government to represent the party.

He therefore appealed to his supporters to remain calm as he expressed confidence in the APC leadership and Gov Abiodun’s ability to choose the best candidate to represent the party.

“I urge you my supporters to respect Governor Abiodun’s and party leaders’ decisions, as I believe in peaceful and democratic politics.I pray for the party leaders to ensure a fair candidate selection process.,” he stated.

He assured that if given the opportunity, he will prioritize development in his constituency even as he warned against thuggery and hooliganism.

He expressed sincere appreciation to all attendees and stakeholders including friends, family, colleagues, and representatives from various wards and organizations for their trust in his ability to bring development and growth to Yewa South Local Government especially with the local government autonomy.

Prince Ekunola Gbenga Abraham acknowledged the sacrifices made by his supporters, including those who closed their stalls at Sayedero market, owode market, Ajilete, Oke odan and others.
He promised to remain humble, accessible, and committed to listening to their concerns whether chosen as the party’s candidate or not .

He tanked media crew for their exceptional professionalism and teamwork.

Some of his supporters said that the event showcased Prince Abraham’s dedication to democracy, unity, and development, reflecting his commitment to the well-being of Ogun State and its people.
