Edo 2024: APC caucus donates N200m to support party’s candidates

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the House of Representatives has declared its unwavering support for Senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the party’s candidates for the upcoming Edo governorship election.

Both Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa are sitting members of the National Assembly, and their candidacy has garnered significant backing from their colleagues.

In a show of solidarity and loyalty to the party, the APC Reps Caucus contributed ₦200 million towards the party’s campaign for the September 21 governorship polls.

The donation was made by individual members of the APC in the 10th House and coordinated under the leadership of Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu.

The APC Reps Caucus expressed its determination to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the party’s victory in Edo State. They emphasized their commitment to supporting Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa, esteemed colleagues who have consistently shown capacity and competence in their public service.

The cheque for the donation was formally presented by the Leader of the House, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, OON. The presentation was witnessed by Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Clerk of the House of Representatives, Hon. Billy Osawaru, and Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi, Chief of Staff to the Speaker.

This significant donation demonstrates the APC Reps Caucus’s commitment to ensuring the party’s success in the Edo governorship election, and they urge all party members to rally behind Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa. ‎
