The Nigerian House of Representatives has donated N100 million to support victims of the recent flood disasters in Borno State. A delegation led by Chairman of the Northern regional Caucus, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, visited Maiduguri to sympathize with the state government and its people.
The delegation met with Governor Prof Babagana Zulum in the state capital, where Doguwa announced the donation on behalf of Speaker Rt Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and the entire House ¹. Doguwa praised President Bola Tinubu’s swift response to the crisis and his pledge of federal government support to the state and affected victims.
In his address to reporters at Government House in Maiduguri, Doguwa emphasized the National Assembly’s commitment to collaborating with the federal government. They aim to establish a legislative framework or budgetary intervention to aid states in addressing flood disaster impacts.
