Governor Ododo vows to intensify operations against criminals in Kogi

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has reiterated his administration’s strong resolve to continue the current clearance operations aimed at eliminating criminal activity across the state.

The governor made this commitment during the distribution of the second batch of 100 operational vehicles to security agencies at the government house in Lokoja.

Governor Ododo emphasized that his administration will persist in its efforts to combat insecurity and criminality in Kogi State, reaffirming that the government is committed to strengthening the state’s security framework.

A statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, said Governor Ododo highlighted the distribution of hundreds of vehicles to security agencies as a critical step in boosting their operational capabilities against criminal elements.

He further stated that his administration is focused on making Kogi State a hostile and unsafe environment for criminals to thrive.

In his remarks, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Retired), explained that the vehicle distribution supports ongoing clearance operations across the state. He noted that the state government’s actions reflect its determination to safeguard lives and property in every corner of Kogi.

Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for his unwavering efforts to protect the state. He assured that the newly allocated vehicles would enhance the fight against crime.

Earlier, during a press briefing, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, disclosed that the state executive council has resolved to take firm action against criminal elements to maintain law and order, ensuring the safety of the state’s residents and their property.
