The leader of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of National Association of Woman Traders, Dr (Mrs) Rachael Adewumi has advised members to celebrate Christmas in a way that honors God and reflects His glory.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the traders’ woman leader emphasized the importance of keeping Christ at the center of the Christmas celebration. “As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas,” she said.
The leader encouraged the women traders to focus on the values of love, kindness, and generosity that Jesus embodied, rather than getting caught up in the commercialism and materialism that often accompanies the holiday season.
“Let us celebrate Christmas with humility, compassion, and selflessness, just as Jesus taught us. Let us show love and kindness to our customers, our families, and our communities, and let us use this opportunity to share the message of God’s love and redemption with those around us,” she advised.
The Founder and President, Takem Empowerment Initiatives (TEIs), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that trains and empowers widows, orphans and the needy in the society, also reminded the women traders of the importance of gratitude and reflection during the Christmas season, by saying: “Let us take time to reflect on the past year and express gratitude for the blessings and opportunities we have received.”
By celebrating Christmas in God’s way and glory, the women traders can ensure a meaningful and fulfilling holiday season that honors their faith and values.
