Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has showered encomiums on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as he celebrates his 75th birthday today, December 25, 2024. Senator Barau described Ganduje as a game changer, whose visionary leadership has brought about cohesion and ultimately led to the party’s victory in four out of the five off-circle elections.¹
In a special birthday message signed by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau praised Ganduje’s leadership, noting that under his chairmanship, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has conducted five off-season elections, with the APC winning all except Bayelsa State.
Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, was born on December 25, 1949. Senator Barau described him as a strong pillar of democracy, whose contributions to the growth and development of the country are immeasurable.
As Ganduje marks his 75th birthday, Senator Barau wished him good health, wisdom, and many more years of service to the nation. The deputy senate president’s tribute is a testament to Ganduje’s enduring legacy and impact on Nigerian politics.
