The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has boasted that all projects slated for inauguration in Abuja during the second anniversary celebration of President Bola Tinubu will be completed in the record time.
Wike said he doesn’t foresee any obstacles that would stop the completion of the ongoing projects, considering his commitment to the work.
He stated this after inspecting of some road and bridge projects and Abuja International Conference Centre (AIIC) in Abuja, Thursday.
The minister commended the communities were the projects are ongoing, for cooperating with the companies handling the work, especially in Gishiri.
He said the coast is also clear for completion and inauguration of projects in satellite towns of Pai -Gommani, Radio -Nigeria -Aguma road and many others.
Wike said, “CGC has promised that all these roads, by the grace of God, will be inaugurated during the second year anniversary of Mr. President. Indeed, I’m very elated, very happy, and thank Mr. President for the support given to us, the encouragement for us to achieve this. It’s not easy.
“These are not only projects that will be inaugurated. We will also inaugurated some satellite towns in Pai – Gommani, Aguma palace road and Ushafa road.
“I have never been disappointed in my life, and I don’t see failure. I welcome challenges, and I believe that’s what we’re here for is to tackle and overcome them. So, for now, we don’t foresee any obstacles”
On the budget issue, he said:” I have sent our 2025 budget as approved by FCT Executive Committee, we know that by today, tomorrow, Mr. President will have transmitted our 2025 budget to the National Assembly. Already, the 2024 budget will expire in June. So the funds we have for these projects in 2024 are still being used”
