GPMI hails COAS on “Protection of Human Rights, Prevention of Abuse and Reparation”

The Global Peace Movement International UK, an anti corruption crusader has commended the Chief of Army staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya for building a dynamic relationship with the general public on “Protection of Human Rights, Prevention of Abuse and Reparation”.

President General of the group, Dr. Mike Uyie said General Farouq Yahaya, has lived up to expectations of Nigerians within the few months of his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement on Sunday, Uyi regretted that in spite of the tremendous achievements recorded by the Nigerian Army, saboteurs are busy instigating the public with the view of painting negative pictures about the Nigerian Army.

Uyi said GPMI shall continue to support the Army with an initiative aimed at not only boosting its morale in the war against insecurity but also changing public perception about it.

Uyi noted that Lt. General Farouq Yahaya, within a few months of being on the saddle as Chief of Army Staff,has recorded commendable successes in the fight against terrorism, banditry and other forms of criminality across the country.

He explained that the “Protection of Human Rights, Prevention of Abuse and Reparation” initiative is aimed at rallying support for the Nigerian Army in their continuous selfless roles to keep our dear and beloved country united.
