C&S Church to mark 100-year anniversary with empowerment of people

The Cherubim and Seraphim Church, on Monday said that, it would prioritize the empowerment of the vulnerable in the society to commemorate its 100 years anniversary.

The church’s Praying Band, AKA (Ijo Ita-Balogun) reaffirmed the Church’s dedication toward empowering and offer free medical service at a news conference held at its headquarters in Mushin, Lagos State.

The church said that, the measure was to strengthen various aspects of people’s life by addressing needs of the less privileged in local communities, hold seminars to instill the right value in people to mark its centenary which begins May 23.

Speaking at the event, the Church’s Supreme Head, Baba Aladura, Fergoson Eneogwe said that the anniversary would begins with a crusade/evangelism at its Ogun province.

Eneogwe, said that, the church has been involved in providing essential resources to local communities, such as skills empowerment, start up kits, and free medical services to improve living conditions.

Eneogwe, represented by the Minister in charge of St Matthias Ago-Itunu, Special Apostle, Zaccheus Ogunleye, said that various communities in the country, would benefit from the church’s centenary anniversary empowerment scheme in weeks to come.

The supreme leader, expressed concern over the hard times Nigerians faced, emphasised that the church would  continue to render humanitarian services and to pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria and its leaders.

According to him the church will begin the celebration with various impactful activities from May to December to celebrate a hundred year of God’s steadfastness and grace.

“Being able to remain on the principles and practices of the founding father, St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase.

“The Praying Band Church has grown in leaps and bounds and has achieved growth and recognition since its inception.

“As a bible-based church, the first and most important achievement of the church is remaining on the purpose for which the church was established by our Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the church, which is the spreading of the gospel and making disciples of Jesus Christ.

“Activities for the anniversary will include Church Growth Seminar, Remembrance service for departed souls in the fold, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, Music Concert, Anniversary Service.

“Others are centenary crusade and revival across the church’s provinces, workshops and lectures, youth fellowship, and thanksgiving service slated for Sunday,  Dec.6 2025,” he said.
