Story:Dr. Ronke Soyombo, the newly appointed Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), has pledged to enhance the quality of teaching across the country’s schools.
Speaking during a media briefing in her Abuja office on Monday, Dr. Soyombo outlined plans to work closely with stakeholders to implement technology-based strategies that prioritize student-centred learning and improved educational outcomes.
“The renewed hope initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aim to deliver the best standard of education by harnessing the potential of tech-savvy teachers. TRCN will focus on strategic use of relevant technology to improve learning outcomes. We will ensure that teachers receive the necessary training to effectively manage the classroom,” she said.
She also emphasized the importance of inclusivity, noting that all teachers will be engaged in the Council’s initiatives.
To support this vision, the TRCN plans to collaborate with teacher unions and teachers’ service boards across the states to ensure better management and improved working conditions for educators, with a clear focus on delivering quality education.
