President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted partner, patriot and committed public servant.
In a statement on Tuesday, Tinubu celebrated Shettima’s wife, Nana, his children, family and political associates, while commending his contributions to Borno State and Nigeria.
The President said Shettima’s life had been defined by “service, commitment and sacrifice for worthy causes,” noting his distinguished banking career and record as governor of Borno State before becoming Vice President.
Tinubu particularly praised Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), support for the administration and commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He also commended the Vice President for his leadership of the National Economic Council, saying he had helped coordinate economic policies and strengthen collaboration between the Federal Government and the states.
“His respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, and dialogue and consultation has helped strengthen good governance,” Tinubu said.
The President described Shettima’s loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty as invaluable to the administration and thanked him for his steadfast partnership in delivering the administration’s promises to Nigerians.
Tinubu expressed confidence that both leaders would continue to make meaningful progress in building the Nigeria of their dreams.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen the Vice President, granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.
