Bara Flood Victims Receive Succour As Former APC Bauchi Gov Abubakar Donates N17m, Bags Of Rice

A former Bauchi State Governor, under the APC, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, has announced a total donation of #17 million, including bags of rice, to the people of Bara in Kirfi LGA, of the state, following a devastating flood that affected the community.

Abubakar announced the donation on Sunday when he paid a sympathy visit to the community.

The visit was contained in a statement issued by the former Governor’s digital and creative media aide, Shamsudden Lukman Abubakar.

As part of his support, the former Governor announced initial donation of #10 million for the flood victims and also #2 million specifically for the women and youths of the area.

In addition, he disclosed further interventions of #5 million under the APC, AKY Makama and Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi, Wakilin Birni, bringing the total cash support to #17 million, besides the addition of hundreds of bags of rice to assist the affected families.

Addressing the victims, Abubakar who reminded them that Almighty Allah has promised that believers will be tested in different ways, appealed for steadfastness, patience, and continually seeking Allah’s help in during this difficult period.

“I pray that Almighty Allah grants you relief, restore losses incurred and make your trials easy,” he added.

The former Governor expressed concern over the recurring flooding in the area.

He assured the people to personally lead a high-powered delegation comprising serving APC National Assembly members, the party’s senatorial candidates from all the three districts, and other stakeholders, to meet the Vice President, for Federal government’s intervention.
