Kano state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa has commended good spirited individuals who are supporting the state on the fight against Lassa Fever and other deadly diseases, assuring that adequate arrangements are in place to ensure healthy conditions for Kano residents.
Tsanyawa vowed that Kano is adequately dealing with the case of Lassa Fever and other dangerous diseases.
Speaking though the Permanent Secreatary of Ministry of Health, Dr. Binta Umar Bala, Tsanyawa said Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration is leaving no stone unturned in the fight against Lassa Fever.
He said the state government under the present administration would continue to collaborate with individuals and corporate organizations that are willing to ensure protection of lives of Kano residents.
He welcomed any effort, vision and mission that complement government’s determination towards boosting the health sector.
Tsanyawa stated this while receiving a humanitarian gesture from a philanthropist and business man, Hassan Hajaik who donated drugs and medical equipment as part of his contribution to fight Lassa Fever and other deadly diseases in the state.
The Commssioner expressed appreciation for the kind gesture and pledged to judiciously utilize the commodities for the purpose it was donated for.
He urged other well-to-do in the society, private firms and non governmental organizations to emulate Hassan Hajaik in this direction.
Some of the commodities donated to the state are, Soap, Face mask, Sponge, Hand gloves, Safety boots, Augmenting syrup, Hand sanitizer among others.
In his remarks Hassan Hajaik said the gesture was in consideration of the state government’s commitment to curb the menace of deadly diseases of in the state, particularly, Lassa fevyer.
