One of the All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalists in Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, of FCT, Hon Murtala Usman Karish has called on the party supporters to be more United in order to succeed.
Karish made the call when he offered scholarship to 13 indigent students within the area, recently.
At the disbursement of the scholarship in Krashi, Usman said the decision was informed by the need to support students without those to help them, succeed in their education pursuit.
According to him, the committee he constituted for the scholarship, select the students from each of the 12 political council ward of AMAC.
“The 13 indigent students are all from AMAC, and the committee after proper findings, select them from each council ward. This exercise is being carried out with the sense of all seriousness. I am enjoying education so others too should benefit from same”. He said.
Usman said education remain the best legacy that must be left behind for the younger ones by any leader that believes in a better society, especially the poor ones.
He explained that if those without good background are well supported they will grow and add value that would promote AMAC and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The APC chieftain who was supervisory councillor on environment and education to AMAC chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, said his passion is for those who thought they are forgotten to have the desired educational support.
He called on the students to justify the scholarship by putting in their best especially in their various field of studies.
