Ahead of permutations for the political realignment for 2023, former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega, has reportedly teamed up with conveners of Nigeria Consulgtative Front (NC Front) to wrestkle power from President Muhammadu Buhari AND HIOS All Progressives Congress (APC)
Jega, who was the Chief election umpire of Nigeria that declared President Muhammadu Buhari winner of the 2015 presidential election against former incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan joined the political fray, when his registered his membership of the Peoples Redcemption Party (PRP), immediately he was replaced at the end of his tenure as INEC chairman
NCFront in a statement5 issued Sunday by its head of Public Affairs Bureau, Tanko Yinusa, said the stakeholders will converge to set a new template for Internal Party Democracy in Nigeria on International Democracy Day
The statement listed some of the stakeholders who would meet seek the way forward ahead of 2023 to include former INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega, Olisa Agbakokoba, Ghali Naaba, Pat Utomi, Femi Falana, Najatu Mohammed, Olu Akpata, Nkoyo Toyo, Muiz Banire, Bilikisu Magoro, Isawu Dogo, and others, adding that they would address the Nation on Tuesday on Internal Party Democracy
The NCFront, announced on Sunday in Abuja that it will host a major webinar based national dialogue on reenacting Internal party democracy in Nigeria critical to the pursuit of its historic agenda to rescue Nigeria and create a new prosperous Nigeria that works for all irrespective of social divide
NCFront according to the statement noted that the first in the series of its slated National Dialogue on the Future of Nigeria titled: Dearth of Internal Party Democracy and the Future of Nigeria will be holding virtually on Tuesday, 15th September.
