The Chinese community in Nigeria has marked a historic 100 years existence of the communist party.
The event was also graced by a Chinese patriotic song competition organized by the Chinese cultural center in Nigeria.
The Chinese ambassador to Nigeria His Excellency Cui Jianchun in his remarks said that this year also mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Nigeria and china as well as the international exhibition of the centennial history of the communist party of china (CPC).
He said that the duo countries” have witnessed closer people-to-people exchange and deeper mutual beneficial cooperation in various fields.
Until now, almost 7000 Nigerian students have enrolled in Chinese universities. Many of them are covered by a wide range of scholarship”
The envoy said that that the two events bring a bond, understanding of truth from the leadership of the CPC.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism and former Governor of imo state Senator Rochas Okorocha who is the special guest of honor while making his remark was optimistic that china Nigeria diplomatic ties is such a long lasting and impactful one. before now, the both countries relation has always existed at the government level but were looking forward to establishing people to people relationship with the help of the new ambassador.
Describing both countries as wonderful partners in education, culture, infrastructure and business.
The lawmaker said that a lot of Nigerians capital projects especially constructions are being handled by chinese, he pleaded with the chinese government to always makes a space for honest Nigerians in china rather than measuring for everyone with the same cup.
