From Maduabuchi Nmeribeh, Kano
The Nigerian Guild of Medical Directors (NGMD), has honoured Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje with the award of the Most Outstanding Governor of the Federation in COVID-19 Management.
The state Commissioner of Information, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa received the award on behalf of Ganduje in a colourful ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Ganduje who spoke through Tsanyawa, shortly after receiving the award, said Kano State government has invested a lot of resources in the fight against Covid-19.
He noted that his administration is ever committed towards improving the healthcare delivery services in the state.
Also, the Executive Secretary, Private Health Institution Management Agency (PHIMA) Kano State, Dr. Usman Tijjani Aliyu was presented with the award of Outstanding Performance for the agency’s massive campaign against quackery in the state.
