Kano Agog As Buhari’s Son Marries Emir Of Bichi’s Daughter

…Emir Nasiru Ado Bayero Receives Staff Of Office Saturday

The entire metropolitan Kano and the Bichi Emirate is already agog ahead of the wedding fatia of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf and daughter of Emir of Bichi, His Highness, Nasiru Ado Bayero, Zahra, slated to take place at the Bichi Emirate on Friday.


The First Class Emir is also expected to be officially coronated and receive  the Staff of Office on Saturday.
President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to grace the wedding ceremony.


The AUTHORITY reports that security has already been beefed up in the state ahead of the August ceremony which is expected to attract top politicians, technocracts, business moguls, captains of industry, envoys, among others.


The  Chairman of the organising committee for the wedding, Shehu Ahmed, told journalists that all arrangements are already in place to ensure a smooth and successful ceremony.

According to him, the event  is slated to hold by 1:30 pm, immediately after the Friday prayer.


Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar  Ganduje is expected to present a staff of office to  Emir Nasiru Ado Bayero on Saturday, a day after the wedding.


According to Ahmed, who also heads the Coronation Committee, “we have two historic events on Friday and Saturday in Bichi — the wedding Fatiha of Buhari’s son with the daughter of Emir of Bichi and the coronation of the emir. 


“President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to grace the wedding Fatiha of his son and the daughter of the Emir of Bichi in Bichi town on Friday.


“A special prayer would be conducted at the Central Mosque, Bichi, by 4:30 pm.


“Activities marking the coronation of the Emir include a coronation lecture to be held at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, on Thursday; while the ceremony for the presentation of the staff of office would be held at the Bichi stadium on Saturday.


“Adequate arrangements had also been put in place by the various subcommittees to ensure the success of the two events.”
