President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo met today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at the opening session of the 30th African Union Summit.
Obasanjo first went round to exchange pleasantries with other African leaders attending the summit at the Nelson Mandela Hall, before looking out for Buhari in the crowd to also greet him.
They shook hands and talked for about two minutes after which they were joined by former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, for a photographs.
This meeting was the first of such since Obasanjo issued an acerbic statement last week thoroughly criticising the Buhari administration on grounds of nepotism and economic mismanagement; and advising him against seeking reelection in 2019.
