Adamawa state, the state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has renewed his commitment towards revamping the security apparatuses to cope with the challenges.
Gov Fintiri , who made the committment on arrival at the Yola airport , after his victory at the supreme court on Tuesday, said it was unfortunate that of recent the Book Haram insurgents have renewed their barbaric onslaught on Adamawa communities.
He lamented the beheading of the CAN chairman of Michika local government council.Rev Lawal Andimi last Monday.
The Governor who was received by a tumultuous welcome by a large crowd pledged to do all what is humanly possible to quarantee the security of all residents of Adamawa state irrespective of religion or tribal differences.
Fintiri who dedicated his victory to the people of the state said “icall to his political opponents in the state to sheath their swords and cooperate with his administration so that the state can move forward.
Stating that ” in the last seven months, I have worked streneosly to delivering my 11 point agenda, of health, security , Education, housing and roads infrastructure.
Fintiri appealed to all politicians in the state to cooperate with his government.
Addressing a rally later at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, he vowed to recover all money earlier looted from the state treasury either from state or local government councils in the state.
He stressed “” that he would recover to the least kobo any looted fund , to discourage corruption and financial malfeasance.
