Kebbi govt. approves 20m for supply of HIV drugs in the State

The Kebbi State government has approved the Sum of N20 million for the supply of HIV/AIDs drugs across the state hospitals and other health agencies in the State.

The Kebbi state governor ,Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Baba Umar Yauri made the assertion on Monday,stated that state government is determined to improve the lives of women in the State

Delivery his key note address, at the Lunching of women voice and leadership Nigeria project in collaboration with the Nigeria Action Aids Group held at the presidential lodge in Birnin Kebbi, adding that the Kebbi State Government his ready to partner with the all NGOs in the State.

“you see because of the commitment of the Kebbi State Governor that is why you will see women participated in politics, women are in holding Councillorship positions and also the Permenate secretary” he added.

In her remarked the Executive Director incharge of Association of women living with HIV/AIDs in Nigeria Kebbi State chapter Mrs Esther Hindi Mallaim said that the aimed of the programme is to address all forms of women abused be it physical, psychological, sexual and neglect, eliminate discrimination and human right violation which as contained in the Universal Declaration of human right 1948.

“we want to fight against the devastating effects of some socio cultural harmful norms, value, belief and practice in the State in policy and registration and the provision of service” she added.

She then commended the efforts of the Kebbi State Government for supporting women activities in the State.
