Covid-19: Ganduje charges residents to use emergency hotlines

Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has urged citizens to use the existing emergency hotlines provided by the Ministry of Health in the event of any eventuality over the presence of Corona virus in Nigeria.

The AUTHORITY reports that Kano is still free from the dreaded virus as at the time of filling this report, though the state government has taken all necessary steps to tackle the situation.

Ganduje, in a Statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, said the surveillance and emergency response measures are in place to tackle outbreak of any communicable diseases.

He said government has provided emergency hotlines for citizens to call if they feel unwell or suspect a case of the corona virus.

The statement appealed to the public to follow precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Health and other relevant government agencies.
