Ganduje Bags 2019 Man Of The Year Award

Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has bagged the 2019 Man of the Year Awards by the Daily Independent newspaper.

The award was presented to Ganduje at an elaborate ceremony held at Eko Hotel and Towers, Lagos for his pioneering and innovative dogmas and unparalleled policies of continuity in the execution of government policies, programmes and projects.

This include the completion of projects inherited from previous administrations such the magnificent Alhaji Aminu Dantata Bridge, Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital Giginyu, Khalifa Sheikh Isyaka Rabiu Pediatric Hospital Zoo Road among others.

The award, which was received on his behalf by the Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, was also conferred on the Ganduje considering his policy of initiation of populist programmes that included the dual urban rural transformation that involved the construction of urban roads and opening many rural communities with access roads.

Others included the introduction of Free and Compulsory Basic and Secondary Education that has been drastically bridging the education gap between the south and north, integration and of the Almajiri education system and banning of street begging by same which is being replicated by other northern states.

Receiving the awards, the commissioner dedicated the award the people of Kano state for their unflinching support to the government of Kano state and assured that the award would spur Governor Ganduje to continue to serve the people diligently.

The award presentation was attended by the commissioner for Education, Malam Sanusi Sai’du Kiru, member House of Representatives (Fagge Federal Constituency), Hon. Aminu Sulaiman Goro, Alhaji Rabi’u Isyaka Rabi’u (Alhaji Karami) and Special Advisor to the Governor on Public Affairs, Alhaji Fa’izu Nama’aji Alfindiki
