Acting National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Gaidom on Thursday maintained that the party’s scheduled National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, scheduled for March 17 will hold as planned.

The assurance came even as a Legos High Court has ruled that the newly appointment Acting Deputy National Chairman, Abiola Ajimobi, Deputy National Secretary, Waziri Bulama and Deputy National Auditor, Paul Chukwuma must be recognized and allowed to be part of the meeting.

Gaidom, who addressed the media after the party’s NWC meeting on Thursday expressed the NWC readiness for the meeting, adding that all the necessary arrangements have been completed for the next Tuesdays event.

The Acting National Secretary’s declarations further gave signs that the days of the suspended National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole may be over as the APC leader.

This further emerged as the billboard and banners containing the pictures of Oshiomhole and the President Muhammadu Buhari was removed by the party and replaced by only that of President Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of the NEC meeting.

“As NWC, we just finished our meeting, just to inform the public that the NEC meeting scheduled for the 17th March will still hold and every preparation towards that meeting is in top gear. I want to use this opportunity to invite all NEC members to attend the meeting.

“I can tell you that every member of NEC is prepared to attend this meeting

When reminded of the Lagos Court ruling, Gaidom stated, “Not to my knowledge. We will like to see the court order and if that happens we refer back to our Constitution. We will take it up from that point.”
