NOA engages community leaders in  fight against destructive tendencies among youths

The leadership of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Anambra State Directorate has organized a day seminar for community in Idemili South LGA to checkmate destructive tendencies among youths.

In her address, the NOA Director in Anambra State, Barr.Lady Ifeoma Chijioke, pointed out that there is rising tide of youth restiveness, moral decadence, insecurity and other vices among the youths across the country.

She observed that adolescent youths are now engaging themselves in destructive ventures, rather than engage themselves in productive businesses noting that many youths get involve in disruptive and sometimes destructive activities.

Lady Chijioke said that the collaboration with community leaders and critical stakeholders in the community has become imperative to tackle the observed challenges head on.

She admonished Nigerian youths to imbibe acceptable, societal and national core values with a view of checkmating the menace of misbehaviour.

Lady Chijioke maintained that the general objective of the programme was aimed at sensitizing the general public on the inherent dangers of moral decadence and youth restiveness in the society.

The NOA Director said as a matter of fact that the programme among other things aimed at reinforcement of the adoption of the National Ethics as the solution to the deteriorating moral decadence and youth restiveness in Nigeria.

The NOA team had earlier in the day paid a visit to the Traditional Ruler of Nnobi Community, HRH, Igwe Engr. Nick Muodum Obi who commended the leadership of NOA for embarking on the on what he called all important sensitization program.

Igwe Nick Obi described the important message contained in the programme, as very apt, especially now the country is battling with a lot challenges.

The Royal Father enjoined leadership of NOA to reach out to the womenfolk in the entire communities in Anambra State, for quick dissemination of transformational messages.
