Kano state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa has assured residents that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration is prepared to provide all that is needed for quality healthcare, even in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Tsanyawa who stated this while addressing Local Government Chairmen and Secretaries of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kano North, also urged residents to maintain good health ettiquets, particularly, in this trying times of COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a Statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Hadiza M Namadi, the visitors were on a courtesy call to the Commissioner’s office.
Dr. Tsanyawa said the Ganduje administration has been consistent in the implementation of all programmes and projects aimed at improving the health of the people.
He said the state has embarked on upgrading and construction of health care facilities across the state which will be well equipped thereby making it much easier for people at the rural areas to access medical and health services in their immediate localities instead of trooping to urban areas.
He also reminded them that 15 percent of the 2020 budget of the state goes to the health sector, part of which is currently being utilized for the construction of cancer treatment facility.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Kano North APC Ward Chairman and Secretaries Forum, Alh. Abubakar Sadiq Shanono, commended the efforts of the Ganduje administration for its commitment towards improving the wellbeing of the people.
He also thanked the Commissioner for his hospitality towards them.
