The president of the Senate Ahmad Lawan and his deputy Ovie Omo-Agege have sent their condolences the former lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce over the demise of his wife Evelyn Murray-Bruce.

In their separate condolence messages to the business magnate and founder of SilverBird Group the two leaders of the senate prayed God to comfort him and his family in this period of grief.

The messages were contained in separate press statements from their media offices.

Lawan commiserated with the entire family of the Senator who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the Eigth Senate and the people of Bayelsa State over the tragic loss.

He said the late Mrs Murray- Bruce was a pillar of support for her husband and their entire family, saying her untimely passage has left a void that will be difficult to fill.

Lawan urged Senator Murray-Bruce to take solace from the enviable life that she lived and the fond memories she left with all those whose lives she touched.

The Senate President prayed that God will comfort the Senator, the children and other loved ones she left behind and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

Omo-Agege on his part also asked God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

“I feel pained to hear of the transition of our dear Evelyn Murray-Bruce to eternal life. She was a great wife and companion to her husband and a great mother to many.

“No doubt, our dear brother, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce feels the agony of loss very deeply but we fervently pray that God comforts and strengthen the family she left behind.

“May God Almighty grant the soul of our beloved Mrs. Evelyn Murray-Bruce eternal repose,” he stated.
