As economic harddhip continues to hit Nigerians consequent upon the safety and precautionary measures adopted by the Federal and state governments to curtail the spread of corona virus disease in the country,several local government areas in Enugu state have started dash out food items and house hold communities to the very poor and vulnerables in their respective communities.
The AUTHORITY checks revealed that there are no adopted standard among the 17 local government chairmen in the state but doles out the palliatives in their own respective method and economic strength.
The UDI local government area,which is one of the oldest local government areas in the state is among the council areas that have exhibited such gesture to ameliorate the sufferings of supposed poorest of the poor in their midst.
In order to get to the poorest in the local government area,the UDI local government administration under the leadership of Hon Ifeanyi Agu,came up with the unique idea for every of the 38 communities that makes up Udi council area,should draw up a list of fifty(50) poorest prople in their respective communities.
