The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has called for a collective efforts of all Nigerians towards eradicating Covid-19 in the Country.
The Minister also stated it was a trying period especially for Women, who were burdened with a lot of needs from the family.
Dame Tallen gave the indications while receiving a donation of Federal Government approved anti-malaria traditional drugs, Tradomed, from a group led by a Pharmacist, Mr. Charles Iheanacho and the Executive Director of a US-based NGO, Global Steps Foundation, Dr. Samuel Cornelius for women and children.
While commending the gesture, the Minister urged other good spirited Nigerians to support the Ministry to reach out to poor women and children especially at the rural areas.
Mr. Iheanacho explained that the anti-malaria drug was produced in form of tea and contained ingredients that could boost immune system.
Also, Dr. Cornelius stressed the need for Nigerians to obey Government’s directives on Covid-19 pandemic in the interest of their families and the Country.
Dr. Cornelius commended various efforts of the Federal Government at addressing issues of Covid-19 and urged the Government to encourage youths to produce some materials, like face masks and hand Sanitizers for the fight against the pandemic.
He also advised the Government to prioritise distribution food to Nigerians as the highest priority at this time.
