The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Monday night announced 242 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 4,642.
The NCDC also announced the highest recoveries of 124 and seven deaths recorded all through Monday.
They disclosed that 902 persons were discharged and 150 dead.
They said that, “on the 10th of April 2020, we erroneously announced 2 new deaths in Nasarawa state. There was just one death in Nasarawa reported on the 10th of April. We apologise to the state government for this error, and remain committed to providing accurate data.
According to NCDC in its official Twitter handle, “242 new cases of #COVID19: Lagos recorded 88 new cases, followed by Kano with 64 cases, 49-Katsina, 13-Kaduna, 9-Ogun, 6-Gombe, 4-Adamawa, 3-FCT.
Others cases were 1-Ondo, 1-Oyo, 1–Rivers, 1-Zamfara, 1-Borno, 1-Bauchi.
34 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded at least, of just one confirmed case of COVID19 each.

“For a breakdown, Lagos State currently has 1933, FCT-359, Kano-661, Ogun-126, Osun-37, Gombe-116, Katsina-205.
Also, Borno recorded 186, Edo-79, Oyo-65, Kwara-32, Akwa Ibom-17, Bauchi-182, Kaduna-111, Ekiti-15, Ondo-16, Delta-17, Rivers-22, Jigawa-116 cases.
Similarly, Enugu recorded six cases, Niger-6, Abia-2, Zamfara-73, Sokoto-106, Benue-2, Anambra-1, Adamawa-21, Plateau-15, Imo-3, Taraba 17, Bayelsa 6, Ebonyi 5, Kebbi 14, Nasarawa-26, and Yobe 4.
