FG issues appointment letters to TCN management team

The Federal Government has confirmed the appointment of the new management team of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), led by Engr. Sule Abdulaziz.

A statement by TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah in Abuja disclosed that the letters were signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustafa.

Mbah stated: “The management team of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, comprising of the Ag. Managing Director and four Executive Directors have today, 8th of June, 2020, received their letters of appointment from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.

“The new management team, which includes Engr. Sule A. Abdulaziz as Acting Managing Director, Engr. Victor Adewumi – Executive Director (Transmission Service Provider), Engr. Maman J. Lawal -Executive Director (Independent System Operator), Mr. Ahmad Dutse -Executive Director (Human Resources and Corporate Services), have all been appointed for an initial term of four years”.

The letter, according to Mbah, showed that the appointment of the Acting Managing Director took effect from 19th May, 2020 while the appointments of the Executive Directors took effect from 27th December, 2019.

Recall that on the 19th of May, 2020, the Federal Government announced the appointment of a new Acting Managing Director for TCN as well as the confirmation of the Executive Directors, who had been on acting capacity.
