Ondo Guber: Dogara chairs PDP screening committee

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara has been appointed as head the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship Screening Committee.

The five man committee will seat today, (Thursday) at the party’s headquarters in Abuja. They are expected to screen all the aspirants who have procured and submitted their governorship Expression of Interest and Nominations forms.

A statement from the party’s Organising Secretary, Col Austin Akobundu (rtd) stated that the exercise is compulsory.

He said, “The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has approved the nomination of the following party members to serve on the Screening Gubernatorial Committee.

“The committee is mandated to screen all Aspirants for the upcoming 2020 Governoship Election in Ondo State”.

Members of the Committee include, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo (Secretary) while Sen. Zainab Kure, Hon. Fred Agbedi and Barr. Ndubuisi Agwuama are members.

Some of the aspirants who picked the forms are: Hon. Agboola Ajayi, deputy goveor of the State, Barrister Eyitayo Jegede and Dr Eddy Olafeso.

Others are Barr. Sola Ebiseni, Senator Boluwaji Kunlere, Mr Banji Ben Okunomo, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye and Chief Bode Ayorinde.

The exercise will commence by 10am.
