EVEREST EZIHE, writes that Hon. Ambrose Nkwodimma, the Chairman Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Owerri Municipal Council has received thumbs-up from Non-Indigenes Forum of Owerri Municipal (NIFOM) for maintaining a harmonious relationship and unity of purpose between the indigenes of the local government area and non-indigenes resident in the area since inception of his administration.
Nkwodimma who is popularly known as Abumaleya earned the commendation recently when the Executive members of NIFO led by Chief Cosmos Nwaohiri paid him a solidarity visit in his office complex at the secretariat.
Nwaohiri informed that the Organization which embraces non-indigenes devoid of cultural background, ethnic nationality or religious belief was formed in 1976 sequel to the creation of Imo State and making Owerri the state capital.
The Chairman also said that the Organization apart from promotion of socio-economic activities among members and non-indigenes also has a core mandate of maintaining mutual relationship and promotion of the need for attraction of democratic dividends to the members.
Nkwodimma appealed to the group on the need for them to sustain their support with the state government noting that Governor Hope Uzodimma means well to the people of the state.
In a vote of thanks, Hon. Celestine Ehirim applauded the Chairman for being humane and further described him as visionary, compassionate and purposeful leader and reassured him of the group commitment in all his Administrative and Political endeavors.
