More controversy have trailed last Thursday’s conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Imo North Senatorial district as the party’s Screening Committee for the aspirants have attached the Governor Mai Mala Buni led National Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Congress Committee for the way it handled the clearance of candidates for the party’s primary for the October 31 Imo North Senatorial district bye election
The committee said in a briefing Monday in Abuja that it rejected the party’s decision to jettison it’s submitted report, which cleared only five out of the eleven aspirants that picked forms for the party’s ticket
Chairman of the committee, Lawrence Chuku berated the party caretaker committee for clearing all the aspirants after his Committee had done a decent job, adding that the caretaker committee has committed a serious blunder by allowing an aspirant who was not deemed fit to fly the party’s ticket to go on into the primary election where he was declared winner
