The chairman of Kano state Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC),Prof. Garba Ibrahim Sheka has joined eminent Nigerians in felicitating with the Emir of Kano, His Highness, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero on his recent coronation as the 15th Emir of Kano.
According to a Statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Commission, Dahiru Lawan Kofar Wambai, and made available to journalists, the chairman, on behalf of the management and staff of the commission rejoiced with Aminu Ado Bayero on his coronation and presentation of staff of office as the 15th Emir of Kano in fulani dynasty that was held last Saturday.
The chairman described Emir Aminu Ado Bayero as, “a focused, determined and detrabilised leader who has his people in his mind always and wanted the best for them.
“Emir Aminu Ado Bayero has been a monarch who has the passion, the vision and the committment in ensuring peace, stability and rapid socio-economic development of his people.”
Professor Sheka expressed optimism that Emir Bayero will justify the confidence reposed in him.
“We have confidence in him on steering the mantle of the Emirate creditably and kano will witness rapid transformation as a center of commerce in Northern part of the country and west African sub-region,” he said.
He applauded Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his effort in making the coronation huge success citing example of thousands of diginatiries who graced the occassion from different parts of the world.
The chairman used the opportunity to call on people in the state to rally round the emirate and continue to pray ceasilessly for overall development of Kano state.
