2023: Group drums support for Sen. Abe

Ahead of the 2023 general election, a group under the aegies of Rivers  Voice of Freedom (RVF) has declared their support for former Senator Magnus Abe not minding his declaration not to participate in election in Rivers State.

The group had Sunday evening,  inaugurated executive members in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State to mobilize at the grassroots and rally support for Abe towards 2023.

The group noted denial by some leaders of the All Progressives Congress ta aveil the former senator right to contest office in the state due to internal party crisis. They said that the action has necessitated the move to drum up support for him at the grassroots ahead of 2023.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chairman of the ceremony, Chief Tony Okocha, expressed his support for the group and urged every members to remain steadfast to the course of freedom for good leadership. 

Okocha who was a former chief of staff of Rivers State Government House, assured “As far Obio/Apkor is concerned, we are fully in support of Sen. Magnus Abe. 

“One thing that I am sure of is that nobody can stop an idea when time has come; our time has come.Do not be bothered by what you are seeing, do not bother of course about the difficulties because without difficulties we may hardly see providence. 

“As soon as providence comes, the difficulties will give way. I want to enjoin you, please remain steadfast, remain committed to this course at the end of the day, Victory shall be ours.”

The president-general of the group, Dominic Dumekpigi, however, urged the newly inaugurated executives to always abide by the principle of Sen. Abe of an all-inclusiveness and politics without violence.
