Be promoters of good governance, FCTA Director tells Civil Servants

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Acting Director Department of Reform Coordination and Service Improvement, Dr Jumai Ahmadu, has urged other civil servants to diligently carry out their duties in manner that
promotes good governance at all levels.

She stated this on Monday 19 July, 2021 during a work exercise in view of activities to mark her birthday celebration in Abuja.

Ahmadu called on civil servants to remain committed to selfless and efficient service delivery to accelerate development.

The Director, who was recently honoured by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, for excellence and forthrightness in service delivery, stated that good governance can be achieved when Civil service is properly reformed, with well motivated workers.

Ahmadu who expressed shock and fought hard to keep her emotions at the show of love by the journalists, assured that she would make more sacrifices to support the media in promoting the ideals of good governance.

However, the Chairman, FCT Minister’s Press Corps, Ikharo Attah who led the celebration, stressed the need to encourage committed Civil servants who work assiduously to keep the engine of government running efficiently.

Attah explained that the surprise birthday package was a measure to recognize honesty and hardworking which Dr. Jumai Ahmadu personifies.

He also added that the Nigerian project can be better promoted, when critical stakeholders begin to identify those who make impact in the society and encouraging them.
