Ekwuoba wins as Anambra people hold symposium in Abuja

Ekwuoba Peoples Union (APU) beat  two other unions to emerged first during the 2021 Anambra day cultural symposium organised by the Abuja chapter of Anambra State Towns’ people Association at the weekend.


The competition with the theme: ‘Taa Bu Gboo, literally meaning, it is not yet late, brought together all sons and daughters of Anambra state in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).


Vice Chairman of the Ekwulobia People,  David Aniagboso hailed the panel of judges for finding his association worthy of winning the first position at the cultural competitions. 


He commended  the town unions in FCT  that participated in the event, saying that he wasn’t surprise that his town union won the position, based on among others comportment, uniformity, punctuality and ability to be attentive at the event

According to him, the association organises cultural competition between member town unions in the nation’s capital biannually to foster more unity and love.


The keenly contested  cultural competition  between the town unions was between Awkuzu, Enugu Agidi and Ekwulobia  unions, the third, second and first positions went to Awkuzu, Enugu Agidi.


While the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Emeka Offor, represented by AIGP Chris Ezike, Governor Willie Obianor, represented by the Anambra State Liaison Officer in Abuja, Mrs Agatha Manafa, the President General of ASTPA, Chief Arinze Anadu, Ichie Tochukwu Okeke hailed the organisers of the event for success, the Local Organisation Committee (LOC) Chairman, Amaechi H. Ezeokoye said that the even was successful, in line with the way they planned it.
