By Jonathan Lois

Old students of the Immaculate Heart Girls Secondary School, Abuja branch, have held their annual end of year get-together in the nation’s capital Abuja.

President of the association, Chioma Okafor, said it was necessary to meet and celebrate and express gratitude to God for seeing the association through the year.

She urged members to remain committed to the values and ideals of the association.

She said, “For the fact that we’re all alive, I didn’t bury any of my member, so I’ve decided let’s come and celebrate and thank God for the end of the year because it’s not over until it’s over. But because we’ve gathered in love and we’re thanking God in advance none of us will die we will see 2022 with our full chest. Amen.”

For those that could not meet up she said,” They missed, let them come and join us, this is love in action we cannot do without them but when we don’t see them we move ahead. I pray that next year they’ll join the queue and start celebrating with us in Jesus name.

“Imahanco Global I believe you know Abuja sets the pace and others follow. I urge them to gather their people together in love today was something else, the children were enjoying the adults were enjoying, we ate and danced together, we also drank and prayed together. Love in action, so I advise them to continue in love. There’s nothing in this world but love.”

Secretary of Immhaco Alumini Association Abuja Chapter, Chinwe Mmadubuike, on their activities for the year, said, “We’ve heard about three general meetings and several exco meetings to see how things will work better, I think it’s fair enough because this year hasn’t been so good but we thank God that we’re all here today and we’re able to do the little that we did today we hope that next year will be better. The things we didn’t do well this year we’ll do better next year.”

Also, the past president of the association, Dr. Lillian Oguga, advising the executive Council of the association, to be united.

“My advice to them is to continue in unity, be united and to respect their president and respect will come to you. Onye nfe Eze, Eze e rute ya. When we’re doing this we’ll keep handing it over to the next person and they’ll be better and better than the older ones that’s the advice I give them that they should continue in unity, let them work in love, let them care for us. Let them do it happily and cheerfully, Jesus will come down and bless them in different angles in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
