From  Everest Ezihe, Owerri

As the political climate continues to heat up ahead of 2023 general elections, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Imostate,Hon. Rufus Anyagwa, has called on former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha and Minister of State, Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, to officially declare their presidential ambition now by informing President Muhammadu Buhari.

The call came following the official declaration by National leader of the APC and former Governor of Lagos state, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Ebonyi state Governor, Dave Umahi of their interest in the 2023 presidency, when they both visited President Muhammadu Buhari

Anyagwa stated in a chat with The AUTHORITY that “Okorocha and Nwajiuba should officially join the contest by informing President Buhari of their mission and vision to run the country after him

According to him “they are two great sons of Imo State and they should emulate Tinubu and Umahi, who are courageous to come forward and declare their intentions for the presidency by informing the President.

“Ebonyi State already has two presidential aspirants. Governor Dave Umahi in the APC, and former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim in the PDP.  This is not the time for them to foot drag but to step forward and tell Nigerians that they are interested in taking over from Buhari in 2023″ Anyagwa advised.
