Kano APC crisis: Ganduje gifts 17 cars to new party zonal executives

insists no opposition in state chapter

Determined to weather the storm in the crisis rocking the Kano sdtate chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, at the weekend, declared that the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state has deflated all oppositions ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Ganduje expressed optimism that the ruling party remains a party to beat in the coming elections, counting on what he described as the party’s resoluteness and determination in deepening democracy and ensuring that democratic dividends get to the masses.

Thje Governor,  who spoke at the A.A. Rano Stadium in Rano Local Government Area, during the inauguration of 432 Local Governments executive council members of the party from Kano South Senatorial District, comprising of 16 Local Government Areas and 4,644 Executive Council members from 172 wards.

He congratulated the new party officials for emerging victorious in their respective elections and in court, emphasising that, “APC in Kano has no opposition now. You have to work very hard for the progress of the party.”

“This Senatorial District, Kano South Senatorial zone, has more local governments than other two Senatorial zones. It has 16 local governments with 172 political wards. And each local governments we have 27 elected party leaders. So also in each ward out of the 172 wards, we have 27 elected party leaders.

“What we are saying is this, there were elections for our party leaders in all our wards and our local governments. Which saw to your emergence as party leaders in these levels. 

“So in the Name of the Almighty Allah I am inaugurating our leaders from the16 local governments and 172 wards. In each local government  we have 27 party leaders so also in each of our Wards we have 27 elected officials,” he stated.

Governor Ganduje also distributed a total number of 16 vehicles for the leaders of the party across the 16 Local Government Areas and one for the Senatorial zone Chairman.

He said the cars were donated to the party by a party loyalist, “who always wishes to see to the progress of the party at all levels.”
