The Minister of state for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Ramatu Aliyu has charged the Coordinator, Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD), Obinna Ogwuegbu to hasten up completion of projects.
She stated this in her congratulatory message to the coordinator on his 100 days in office, recently.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, Felicia Meeme, said the Minister asked the coordinator to evolve measures that would ensure that all projects under STDD purview are delivered in time.
According to the minister, the reward for good work is more work, which she said president Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration is keen on delivering the campaign promises on infrastructure to Nigerians and the FCT residents.
In his response, the Coordinator STDD paid an unscheduled visit to the Apo-Karshi road construction site awarded in parts to SCC Nigeria and M/S Kakatar CE Limited accompanied by his team of Engineers led by the Director, Regional Infrastructure, Builder Amaechi Obiekwe.
The Coordinator appreciated the rate of work done by the contractor and urged them to intensify efforts in seeing to the ground breaking commissioning of the road.
He reminded the contractors on how important the project was to Nigerians and the succor it will bring to users thereafter.
The Managing Director, M/S Kakatar CE, Engr. Azibaola Roberts congratulated the Coordinator for always taking the lead in ensuring that the project never suffers.
Roberts commended the ministers for the constant role they have played in ensuring that all fund has been released for the project, promising that in no distant time the road will be ready for inauguration.
