Why I seek to replace Sen. Adamu at senate, Bar. Magaji

Leading contender to the Nasaraea West senatorial district, Labaran Shaibu Mogaji, has emphasized that the seat, recently vacated by former Governor of Nasarawa state and now national chairman of the ruling All progressive Congress (APC), senator Abdulahi Adamu will be too big for the district to send any inexperienced person to occupy

Magaji, who spoke after he picked his Expression of Interest and Nomination form for the race said Nasarawa West senatorial district is one of the most talked about senatorial district in Nigeria by the reason of the fact that it’s the seat formerly occupied by the current national chairman of our great party His excellency Senator Abdullahi Adamu who has been on the seat for close to eleven years before God in his infinite mercy elevated him to the position he is today.

“I choose to pick the form to replace him on the seat by virtue of the experience we have gathered over the years in our field of chosen endeavour having contributed our quota not only to the polity , not only the government but the unification of this country using the instrumentality of my job as a federal prosecutor. I thought towing this line will further enhance my opportunity to helping this country at a greater level

“This is one senatorial district that should be occupied not by mediocres, but people who have value to add to the system. We are aware that the party from the conventional way of constituency projects, there are several other things that we can do differently using our wisdom as young men who have traversed the country and beyond to bring on board other things which hitherto have not been in existence. One of those things is to access jobs to our youths who are really unemployed having graduated knowing that that is one reason for the growing insecurity.”

On his plans for the senatorial district, he said, “we have to find a way of creating wealth for our teaming poor peasants who have no where to go and nothing to feed on. These are the two agendas that we are going to advance and we are going to advance them with passion by virtue of our position at the national assembly. This will be extended to the entire country.

“I am fully prepared for any eventuality. We are also fully prepared to come back here and pick that form in replacement of that seat but what we are doing today is preparation for 2023 and we are awaiting the outcome of whatever decision INEC may take before we take the next line of action.”
