2022 UTME : Candidates, exam officers thumb up JAMB

Some candidates and exam officers in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have commended the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for ensuring a near seamless exercise.

Speaking during a visit to Computer Based-Test (CBT) centres in parts of Abuja and neighbouring communities in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the candidates expressed delight over stability in internet network, steady power supply as well as functional computers.

CBT centres visited include Right Technology Centre and Sascon International School centre two in Maitama District of Abuja.

Saidu Razak, a very lively candidate, who shared his experience, said the computer worked perfectly well, even as he thumbed up examination officers over the orderly conduct of the exercise.

He expressed happiness that he was able to submit his answers ti questions asked ahead of given time.

“Generally, I believe the conduct of the examination was good. Even the questions were okay,I knew some questions but some of the questions, truly, I didn’t know them, it is all about a test of knowledge be and I must commend JAMB, he added.

Mrs Maryam Alfa, the Centre Admin Officer, noted that there is conducive environment at the Sascon centre and that the exam was going on seamlessly except for the issue of incomplete questions in English Language paper.

Earlier, the Director in charge of Royal Midland CBT centre in Korudoma in Karu Local Government of Nasarawa state, Njoku Samuel, expressed satisfaction with the the conduct of the examination at the centre.

According to him, “From day one of the exam, we have been experiencing success here. Every aspect of the examination, the system, the networking and everything needed for the examination were in perfect condition.

The AUTHORITY reports that the 2022 UTME began nationwide last week Friday is expected to come to an end on 12 May, 2022.

Over 1.4 million candidates out of a total of 1,761,338 that registered for the examination have so far taken the 2022 UTME with some examination towns and centres completing their own allotted number candidates for the year.
